DESIGN SOLUTIONS
CONCEPT 01
STUDIOCANAL has used color shifts, glass, and light effects in their previous logo animations. For the new one, I plan to incorporate glass reflections interacting with the STUDIOCANAL logo. The animation will feature geometric shapes, glass, and the logo moving with shadows and lights.
CONCEPT 02
I want to use 3D organic shape-transforming animations with colorful textures to represent the variety of film genres that STUDIOCANAL has.
The first concept is too similar to STUDIOCANAL's existing logo animation, while the second concept feels too different from their past logos. So, I decided to merge the two concepts. I'll keep the elegant lighting and dark background from Concept 1, and incorporate the organic logo animation from Concept 2
PROCESS
First Pass
I'll make two cameras move in the same direction continuously, adding more animation to the letter while ensuring the cameras don't stop.
Second Pass
I decide to refine the camera movement for smoother transitions and tone down the blue lines, as they feel distracting. I'll also improve the glass material at the front to give it a more realistic look
Third Pass
I gonna make the glass at the front slide away like a curtain when the logo appears."
Fourth Pass
I'll make the transformation smoother and make the glass at the front start moving earlier.
